We do not give specific client-related tax advice. However the tax team provides operational support to members. Ranging from assistance in their dealing with Inland Revenue, negotiating the Extension of Time (EOT) arrangements for tax agents, organising tax liaison group meetings, visits to the NZICA offices to update members on topical tax and ACC issues and professional development support.
Although we don't intervene in tax disputes, in some cases we ask Inland Revenue to review their position to ensure they have the correct technical approach and facts.
