IR developing SPFR rules
In September 2011, cabinet decisions were made about financial reporting. In particular, non-large companies that do not separately have reporting obligations will no longer have to prepare general purpose financial statements.

- Jim Gordon CA is a Policy Manager in the Policy Advice Division and Stephen Casey CA is a Principal Analyst with Strategic Compliance Risk. They are both involved in formulating Inland Revenue’s response to government’s project on financial reporting requirements for companies. Also they have been invited to join the NZICA Working Group on SPFR as Inland Revenue representatives.
