How to become an Accounting Technician

Accounting Technicians can attain their professional designation after acquiring a foundation of core accounting and business skills. This is obtained through two years of diploma or degree level study combined with workplace experience and a short professional competence programme.

There are three main steps to becoming an Accounting Technician:

  1. Complete a recognised academic programme
  2. Complete a practical experience programme
  3. Complete a professional competence programme.
